....have an internal battery ? (question arose due to the similar
battery related threads recently)

I've had one sat on my shelf for over 12 months, so if it needs
plugging in occasionally to recharge, i'll get onto it.

I have one of the GPS18 units so I looked to find out. I downloaded a
manual for one and found the following information:

- Non-volatite memory does not require battery backup.

- Onboard rechargeable backup battery to maintain the real-time clock
for up to 3 weeks.
