| RE: StreetPilot i3 - 2 units...
I just bought a 2x1G chips to replace the 256's they came with..
I have 2 units.. mine, my daughter's...
Since it takes a very, very long time to upload all of the US (City Nav 8),
could I upload to my unit.. then put that chip into my daughters (when she
stops by) ..and then upload again, to my unit?

Yes you can do that Vinnie..I just bought a 1g and i was having a
small problem and just switched back to the old chip then back to the
new it works fine should work in a differant unit also.. Cliff
P.S once the data is on the chip you do not have to upload it again
just switch chips between units as needed.

The maps need to be unlocked to both units. I think the SD cards would then
be specific to the unit that was connected when the maps were transferred.
The two unlock codes are tied to the GPS unit.

| It worked, thanks all!
Both units were set up from one PC, not sure which unlock code I used- both
units came with their own unlock code, but from what I've read, each unlock
code can install to up to 2 units...
Thanks for the help!
