How do these two screens compare as far as brigtness and sunlight
readability?
The c550 has an "automotive grade" sunlight readable screen.
The 660 doesn't, I'm uncertain as to which would be better?

Also how does the audio compare on these two units?
Are the speakers the same installed in each unit?
The 550 has two speakers and the 660 has one?

Thanks.

I can't compare, but I can comment on the 650/660. The screen is
amazingly bright, and so far is easily readable, mounted on the dash,
in brilliant sunshine. The audio is a little weak with the windows
down in traffic, or driving at high speed on the highway. With
windows closed, or in less noisy locations, is it more than adequate
for instructions. I don't usually listen to music on it, but it
compares favorably with a $15 radio I have. <grin> Moving the unit
to the center console helps the audio situation without compromising
the position lock.

Your eyes and ears may vary. Hope this helps.

I have a C550 and I am quite pleased with the screen visibility, even in
bright daylight. Naturally you may need to adjust the swivel mount and
tilt the unit down slightly when the sun is shining directly on the
screen producing a glare towards the driver's viewpoint, but that is not
a big deal by any means and most likely is not unique to the C550.

As far as the built-in audio goes, it is OK too. I generally don't
listen to music on mine as I use the stereo in my car almost exclusively
but it's nice to have the capability to pop in an SD card loaded with
MP3 tunes on long trips when there are no decent radio stations
listenable in between metro areas. The voice navigation prompts always
seemed loud enough for my satisfaction, even with the volume control set
about 3/4 of the way to maximum.

Not having a bluetooth-equipped cellphone, I haven't had a chance to try
the hands-free operation yet for that application.

I do have a cell phone with bluetooth and it works great with the
C550. It displays my entire phonebook, allows me to dial from the
C550, answer and disconnect with large, touch screen buttons. The
sound quality is as good or better than the earpieces I've used.
