I edited a few and got them to work. It took a little fumbling around
to get it to work. I think the locations of the edited symbols and the
names of the files is not negotiable. I tried using other names and
simply could not get it to work until I restored the original file names
if I remember right.

the files were installed as part of the xImage install and the path was:

C:\Documents and Settings\my username\My Documents\My Garmin\Custom
Waypoint Symbols

All the files were located in the Custom Waypoint Symbols folder and the
files were named Waypoint Symbol 000.bmp through Waypoint Symbol 023.bmp.
