My new Nuvi 350 came with the Map Detail set at Normal.

I could set Map detail to "More" or to "Most" also. Is there a
degradation in performance if I set it to "Most"? Would it work any slower?

Thanks!

I don't have Nuvi 350 to give you the answer for Nuvi 350, but I have 4
Garmin GPSes and I believe all mentions MOST may take longer to display. And
it never hurt to try to see for yourself, if you don't have problem with
MOST then use MOST, or MOST won't give any extra then try MORE or NORMAL.

I have a 350. Had it since May of 2006. I immediately set it for
MOST and have done 15,000 miles with that setting from the West coast
to the East coast and back and from Main to Florida. No problems.
Works great! Doesn't seem slow at all. And shows lotsa details.
Love it.

If it does slow it down I don't seem to notice it.

Would it work any slower?
I also set mine on MOST when I got it. While I was doing some advance
routing with mine, the only place that I noticed a mapdraw delay was around
the congested NE corridor, at certain zoom settings. It was only a few
extra seconds, which you would barely notice while driving.

It is alleged that Mac claimed:

I have a Street Pilot c330, I have the map detail set to "most" because
I want to see all of the streets, not just the main ones. I don't
notice it being any slower when moving. It does take an extra second
or two sometimes when reloading the map after using another
screen/function, such as the "cockpit" display.
