Question about WAAS and C320
|
|
|
| On a recent cross country trip I lost sat. reception for an hour or so on
my C320.
I pulled out my old GPS Map12 handheld and turned it on and it worked fine
with picking up the sats.
I had forgotten that I had set the C320 to "WAAS" much earlier in the trip
and from what I read, uses its own sats.
I have now returned it to "Normal", but have not had enough road time to
tell if that was the problem or not. So, could setting the gps to "WAAS"
have caused a loss of sat reception for one reason or another or is could
it be the overheating in the sun?
Thanks,
MR

| waas is better use in open country because it uses more satellites.
So if you have mountains and valleys you can loose the reception.
