No, you can not transfer a Mapsource route to a Nuvi. The Nuvi can only
have one destination, so saved routes have no meaning.
You can transfer Mapsource Waypoints that will become Nuvi Favorites.

So a workaround would be to create sequentially numbered waypoints for
the map points or via points in the route, then send those to the nuvi.
At the nuvi, choose the first favorite as a destination, then add the
second favorite as a via or detour or whatever they are called on the
nuvi. Then each time you get to the destination repeat the process
until you get to the end.

Wow, that really sucks. Sees like a step backwards. Many times for
trips I plan/save routes with Mapsource and download them to my 2610.
The route that the GPS automatically chooses sometimes isnt what I
want to do.
The workaround mentioned will work but not what you expect from such
an expensive product.

I agree. I had a eMap and used to use my PC for entire trip planning,
entering each major leg as a route, altering each route until I was happy
with the route chosen.
By killing the ability to have multiple routes, they've essentially
obsoleted MapSource.
With my old eMap, I rarely liked the path it chose. However, I'm not
finding that to be the case with Street Navigator v8. So long as the gps
picks the best route, I'm happy with not modifying them. I'm also happy
with the Nuvi's almost instant route recaclulation that wouldn't be possible
if it was working off a preprogrammed and inflexible route.
Also note that while you can transfer favorites/waypoints, the Nuvi can
store information like street address and phone number that Mapsource can
not store. Transferring Nuvi Favorites to Mapsource Waypoints deletes that
extra information.

Lots of the newer units are steps backward from a
navigation viewpoint. Trend is to cater to the
plug-and-play crowd and keep it simple by removing
advanced nav features -- while adding MP3, XM,
Sirius and such.
