| That happened to me once when I first got my new card. I didn't
understand what was going on. Even when selecting ONE segment, it told
me exceeded. Then I closely looked and found that I didn't lock my
memory card in place completely.

Most likely he is trying to load it into the GPS instead of onto the
card. Look for the pop up box in MapSource and make sure you have the
card selected. You may have to be in mass storage mode.
