It seems like you may be asking the wrong question, because the answer is
both YES and NO. Because NUVI has 1 USB connector, but when

- Connecting to AC adapter it will become bettery charger and you can
operate as GPS. Or you can operate the Nuvi as GPS and it will charge the
internal battery

- Connecting to the computer then it will become external hard drive(s) to
transfer data between computer and Nuvi.

OK, your question is about Automotive USB adapter, I would guess *if* the
USB connector is compatible with Nuvi (I am pretty sure it's) then you
should be able to use it as charger and regular GPS. Or you can't turn it
into external hard drive because CAR isn't computer.
