| In general, among the lower-priced GPS Navigation units, is the Garmin
c340 a good one at $350?
Thanks

Should be. My c330 is a good one and that was the sticker price on it
last April. The only difference between the 340 and the 330 is that
the 340 has text-to-speech so it tells you the name of the street to
turn on. Pronunciation accuracy is variable, though. :)

Tips for evil cult members: 7. Avoid all cabalistic jewelry over ten
pounds in weight--it attracts unwelcome attention from tourists,
policemen, and supernatural creatures, and it can be downright
dangerous during thunderstorms. Its jingling also tends to warn the
hero of your approach.

That's about what my father and my son each paid. They seem to be happy
with theirs.

| I have a c340 and it is great. I actually can understand what the unit is
saying.

The c340 is old having arrived in stores in december 2005 meaning it was
designed before the single-cable PCD standard took over portable
electronics. That doesn't mean the c340 is bad. It just means it's old
technology.
You might wish to consider only nav units which use a single source for all
three PCD basic functions in your next GPS.
