My message to Garmin:

Is there a recent map upgrade available for Nuvi 360?
If I purchase a new Nuvi today, can I get a free upgrade to all
current software including maps? If the upgrades are recent, the
retail merchants' inventories may not have the updated version. (I'm
considering purchase from Costco or Abe's of Maine)

Garmin reply to me:
Thank you for contacting Garmin International,
I'd be happy to help you. There are no free updates for the mapping on
the pre-loaded GPS units. You would have to pay the update fee of
$75.00. The operating system firmware is updated for free from our
website.

Does not seem right to me. I just asked and they put the order in. My unit
was 2 weeks old. At the time, I was registered with them and already bought
the unit.
Me thinks Debbie is not too bright. I'd try again. Damned if I'd buy one
knowing that a new map is available but they won't give me one.
