Is there a way of importing the speed camera databases from the likes
of PocketGPSworld.co.uk without slowing nRoute to unusable speeds ?

I tried importing the "consolidated GPX" set, but the screen refresh
rate dropped to about 1 every 15 seconds... (2.5Ghz processer in it)

Failing that, does anyone know if any "old" versions of nRoute support
the transparent overlay data - IIRC Mapsource used to do this, but it
was removed from later revisions (drastically reducing its' usefulness
IMO)

The only other way I could think of speeding up access would be if
nRoute / mapsource could pre-filter and display only the "nearby" POIs
and simply refresh the data every 5 miles or so, but that would need
some work by Garmin to accomplish it - which would be better spent
reintroducing transparent map overlays !
