That was when Garmin was using Tele Atlas mapping data, now they are
using Navteq.

Tele Atlas is still alive and well, TomTom is one GPS maker that uses
them, MicroSoft also lists them (along with Navteq) on the Streets &
Trips software.
It's too bad that Tele Atlas and NAVTEQ do not have online map viewers
where we could go and look at and compare the data in the maps. We can
look at the NAVTEQ data through Garmin's Mapsource Map Viewers but I
don't know of a similar place for maps using Tele Atlas data.
