Yes, the little I've used POIs, I've run into errors. I
can't really comment on the POI error rate since the
latest I have is Metroguide version 6. Lots of businesses
in this area are correctly listed; however, since Longs Drugs
closed all? of their stores in this area, those listings
are now wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a few
years to get them removed from the latest Metroguide
and CN.
Navteq recently announced that their field people would
be gathering POI information while driving the roads so
their POI information might get better in the future.
They may have relied on other sources for their POI
data in the past. Their focus has been on doing the
roads needed by the most people.
