Favorites Route - can I change the rout permanently?
|
|
|
| I have in my favorites my work address. For whatever reason, my Nuvi 350
wants to take me through a street that dead ends against a train track. I
think ages ago, the street used to cross the train tracks, but no more....
Can I modify the route (like adding a detour) permanently and save it that
way?
Thanks,
mac

I don't think so, but the workaround is to divide the route in half(around
the deadend) and use two favorites for the trip, or just use the original
favorite and while enroute add a via each time to avoid the deadend street.
Everyone with a problem like this should go to the navtech? site and report
the problem so they won't have to deal with it when they update the map. I
can't find the link on this computer, but that site will take your info and
update their data base that they sell to the GPS companies.

Since it is the route to work and you probably follow it 4 or 5 days a week,
wouldn't it be easier to just memorize the route instead of relying on a nav
system?
