Author Topo maps autorouting or not autorouting with 60CSx or 70CSx or PC ?

Twice recently, posters have claimed that Topo maps in use with the 60CSx
cannot do autorouting.

I have a 60CSx with preloaded Topo Great Britain on a 2GB microSD card. I
have found that this combination is fully autorouting. I do not have Topo
Great Britain on a DVD

In the interests of clarity for potential buyers and users from confusion,
is there anyone who has *direct* experience(preferabl
e owns) of Topo
maps(any country) on a preloaded microSD card or a DVD who has found that
they can or cannot do autorouting either on the 60CSx or 76CSx or on PC.

The topo maps for Great Britain do support auto-routing while those
that cover the whole US do not.

Was the Topo supplied

(a) preloaded on a microSD
or
(b) on a DVD then transferred from the PC to your 76Cx ?

If (b), was autorouting available on the PC but not transferable to your
76Cx( cf. later Metroguides)?

Please excuse if I'm repeating a worn thread I'm new and currently
trawling through posts for the first time but I do own a Garmin GPS
60CSx ( purchased in the US with US base maps ) with TOPO GB loaded
onto a 2GB SD card and it doesn't autoroute in the UK.

Right I'll go back to trawling for answers - any help muchos appreciatos.

The blurb on Garmin's US Web site says:

"Automatically creates point-to-point routes on roads in MapSource® and
on your compatible GPS"

http://www8.garmin.com/cartography/mapSource/topogb.jsp

However, the "point-to-point" bit is a little confusing to me.

When you transferred the maps to the 60CSX, did you check the little box in
the lower left corner which is labeled "Include route calculation data."?

Thanks Klatch - yes I did check the box to include route calculation data.

It still throws up the same "no roads close to start" that another
poster has reported ( inconclusively ).
