Confused about C340 map update
|
|
|
| I purchased a C340 last July 2006 from Amazon.com and never registered
it with Garmin. Now that a new version of the mapping software is out
I decided to register thinking I would get a free update.
I entered my information from the yellow paper that was in the box but
am unsure about the next step. Do I get a CD now? I'm unclear what I
need to do. Looking at the myGarmin page it looks like V. 7 is
unlocked with an unlock date of Aug. 28, 2007 - the date I registered
my C340.
Thanks.

You need to contact Garmin. You can do it through their web page.
Technically, you are NOT eligible based on date of purchase, but perhaps
with a recent registration you may get lucky and get a free upgrade.
