C580 Power Adapter
|
|
|
| I received my c580 ordered through costco recently. On the vehicle
power adapter I saw no cylindrical metal tip, just the flimsy spring
metal thingy and a round metal ring to hold it. I tried pluggin it
inside the cigarette lighter hole and didn't get any power. Two or
three tries actaully popped everything out and I had to dig them out
of the cigarette lighter adapter. I then checked the contents in one
of the plastic bag and found an extra glass fuse thingy and a black
circular cap like thing. I tried putting in the fuse into the adapter
(but it keeps falling out and I can't seem to fit the black cap onto
anything) and plugging into the cigarette light hole. But every time I
pull it out the whole thing falls apart and I have to hunt for those
little things on the floor. I feel something is not right - I never
had to put in a fuse on any of the car adapters I have purchased. I am
trying to get them a replacement one now but I was wondering if anyone
else received this kind of vehicle adapter.

It seems that it may be a one off. Garmin Cig Adapters are usually
strong. And working for a GPS company which deals with Garmin products
day to day have found 1 in 10 have similar problems.
