I have a 2720. Is it worthwhile to upgrade to the latest sw maps? I
have the prior edition.
Thanks,
Bill

I presume you mean upgrading from City Navigator North America NT v8 to CNNA
NT 2008 (v9). It's hard to answer that, because although there are many
updated POI's and roads, not everyone feels it's worth the money to upgrade.
I usually upgrade as soon as a new version is available.

I've upgraded to v9 and do find that in general some of the road algorithms
seem to have been improved (read "better routing") and the POI's have been
significantly updated. For me, it's worth it because I do a lot of
traveling on my motorcycle and use the GPS almost exclusively to find
lodging, fuel, and food. I have found that it's better not to show up at a
remote gas station that's listed as a POI but has been out of business for
some years :-) YMMV
