Garmin and Lowrance question

| I was told that A Lowrance MapCreate Canada map can be used by a
Garmin 76CSX as well as a Navionics Premium Canada map. I always
thought that Garmin will only use their own Garmin maps.

Well, the chance for Usenet users who have those specific GPSes, and tried
the map etc. is pretty slim, then the chance for one who has it to read and
response is even slimmer.
So I would suggest to GOOGLE for the answer from Google there you will
find millions of users who share many different topics, and the messages
often available for years instead of days on Usenet.

I don't think anything but Garmin maps (or some of the third party maps
made specifically for Garmins) will work. I've not heard of anyone ever
being able to use Lowrance or Navionics maps on a Garmin.
Making maps for the Garmins can be done on a do it yourself basis, it is
not a simple task.
