Editing Favortites on the Garmin nüvi User Interface

I'm new to the nüvi so please bear with me on this newbie question about
editing the waypoints stored in my "Favorites" selection. My lack of
understanding of the usability of the user interface is driving me buggy.

Please help edify me.

On the Garmin nüvi "Favorites" selection:
- How do I sort Favorites waypoints to list alphabetically?
- How can I mark or sort waypoints by type (eg hotel, food, etc)?
- How can I edit part of a name without having to rip it all up?
- How do I get Favorites to stay in ABC (capital letters) mode?
- Where is the option for a QWERTY keyboard when editing Favorites?

I can not find how to do these basic tasks from the manual.
How do I perform these basic editing tasks on the nüvi?
