How can I tell MapSource to always save files as .gpx?

Here's why I ask:
- I open a gpx file in MapS
- I work on it
- I save it, MapS wants to make it a gpd
- I close MapS, MapS wants to make it a gpd

gpx is much more useful. Even tho I use other tools I still use MapS for
various things.

AFAIK it is not possible to change the default file type (which is .gdb, by
the way)

You have to use "save as", and then every time choose GPX from the "pull
down menu"

Got it. Yeah, I figured as much. Yuck. Vendor navel gazing.
