Audio Books - Nuvi 700 series

| Hi,
Does anyone use Audible.com or ITunes to download books, magazines, news
papers to the Nuvi series? How does it work? (There is an mp3 player and
an Audible player on the Nuvi 770.)
I purchased 3 books via ITunes. (Audible requires signing up for a years'
subscription.) The ITunes file format for a book is .m4b, that apparently
cannot be converted to MP3 (copyright protection) or read by the Garmin
Audible player .aa file type.
According to an email from Audible.com only books downloaded direct from
Audible in the encrypted .aa format can be un-encrypted by the Nuvi 770.
I have searched ITunes, Garmin, Audible (& this newsgroup) to no avail.
What I was able to find had to be piecemealed from various sources, since
the players do not make accessing this kind on info easy...
Please advise if there is a workaround...or a site with clear information...
Thanks for the assist. Rupert

I use Audible.com and have been very happy with the quality of the books. I
signed up for the Gold Membership and got 1 or 2 credits a month which
bought some great books. Have since changed plan to annual membership but
not downloaded a book for a while. I can also play the books on my PDA or
write them to CDs (LOTS of CDs per book) - you just "add device" on the
Audible.com account page - no more cost.

| I don't have a Nuvi, but I've used Audible.com for a while. You don't need
to sign up for a plan to buy things from them, its just a lot cheaper if you
do. Also, you can sign up, and then immediately cancel your membership after
you buy what you want to (you don't loose your ability to download your
media).
