| Garmin Nuvi 200 UK
I recently bought a Garmin Nuvi 200 UK
and I am new to satellite navigation
and so please help me with some basic questions.
I tested the device on a known local route of about three miles and it
made two mistakes.
It would have got me there - but in a silly way.
I have been able to work out how I think it was thinking
but the experience has made me want to check out routes in advance.
Can I plug the Nuvi200 into a computer and have a look at its suggested
route
and modify that route
and then put the modified route into the Nuvi?
This may not be the best question - because I am new to the subject.
If that is the case, please answer the question I should have asked!
Your help will be much appreciated.

Sorry for my english, i am not a experienced writer in this lanquance.
It is possible that Nuvi just do what ever it is told to do.
For example:
The shortest way is often a way that nobody would take.
Because there is a way that goes quicker in your area.
As this shortest way is 10 meter shorter, it is shorter. :-))
For the quickest way it is similar.
This you can find/change in your Menu.
Nini.

I've found that driving around your local town will make you think
these GPS things are stupid. ;-)
But when you have no idea where you are going they work just fine.

Exactly. I sometimes don't use mine until I'm fairly close to my goal. I
know how to get to most cities easily enough, it is the side streets that
can be difficult to find. I can drive from my home in CT to Sacramento and
never look at a map, but I have no idea where Park Street is once I'm there
