It appears the answer is no :-(
If you go into the config area (press "spanner" on main screen), into
Settings, then Navigation then press the Enabled/Disabled button next to
Avoidences, you can at least tell it to avoid unpaved roads.
Before getting the Nuvi200 I had a StreetPilot C510 (recently deceased)
which had an option to tell it you were driving an HGV which would,
presumably, avoid narrow roads, low bridges etc.
Setting it to "Faster" rather than "Shorter" for route decision making
might be better, but if your touring, "Shorter" is often more fun/
interesting.
The only other option is to study the route beforehand.
After it's calculated the route, press the green directions bar at the
top of the screen to get the turn by turn list of directions then press
"Show Map" at the bottom. This gives you a North up, top down view of
the overall route. You can drag it around and zoom in/out and look for
likely problems.
If the above does show obvious problems, you might be able to solve it by
adding in your one and only via point to force the route away from your
problem area.
If you need more than one via point, just create some "Favourites" along
the route and select the next one as you reach each point.

PS, you could always get rid of the caravan and make the roads safer for
everyone else :-)))))
