| FYI:
A while ago someone posted an article about a new iGarmin cell phone...
a cross between the Garmin 60CSx and the Apple iPhone
(http://www.flickr.com/photos/icenrye/2044401045/). Since the proposed
release date for the device was April 1, 2008, I wrote it off as an
early April Fools prank. But now that Garmin has officially announced
their nüvifone (http://www8.garmin.com/nuvifone/), I'm not so sure that
the original posting wasn't legitimate. While the nüvifone doesn't
appear to be affiliated with Apple, it certainly seems to have
"borrowed" several of the iPhone's slicker features (right down to
Apple's propensity for the use of lower-case letters in the product's name).
On a totally different note, while searching the Garmin Web site for
information on the nüvifone, I came across the site for their new Super
Bowl commercial (http://www8.garmin.com/gameday/). FWIW, I think that
it's a step up from last year's Super Bowl commercial
(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KL3ccJDplzs&NR=1)... of course, your
mileage (i.e, opinion) may vary.
