Author Mac Software : Suddenly, Disk is Full

I've been running the Garmin software on XP Pro on a MacBook Pro
(Bootcamp, not virtualization). I downloaded and ran Map Convertor
under Windows, saving the .tgz file to my home directory on the Mac
partition. Following the instructions as I understood them, I rebooted
in Mac OS and decompressed the .tgz to a .gmapi file. I double clicked
that file and MapManager launched with its "Install" button. At the end
of that process I got a "disk full" warning.

My Macintosh HD has a size of 103 GB; the remainder of the 160GB disk
is devoted to an NTFS partition. Looking at directory sizes in list
view, the visible directories--Applications, Library, System, and
Users--add up to 57 GB. I take it that the MapManager succeeded in
installing the maps, and that they are in a huge, hidden directory.
Where is it -- I need to get rid of it /now/ !

Thanks,

Davoud

The map files are copied to your $(Home)/Library/Application
Support/Garmin/Maps directory. The .gmapi file may be deleted after the
copy is done.

The maps are in ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/Maps

You may have several huge map files hanging around on your hard disk that
you no longer need: the .tgz and .gmapi files. If you haven't already
trashed them and then emptied the trash I would give that a try. At least I
think that's what happened with mine.

How much space do you have free in your Windows partition ?

Also, you should know that Garmin now have Mac software:
