Hi I have just purchased Garmin Atlantic chartsG2 on a garmin data card.
Does anyone know if it is possible to view these on my PC before so I can
set way points ect.

I tried opening them in mapsource but I get a data type unknown error.

Is there any thing like a emulator for the pc

The maps and charts that Garmin sells preloaded to memory cards (any
kind of memory card) cannot be seen or used on a PC. That also applies
to the mapping that is on any preloaded GPS receiver.

The MapSource products that are sold on CD's and DVD's are the only
mapping that can be installed to a PC and seen and used there.

For the marine charts, buying the G2 cards is much more expensive way to
get mapping in most cases. But there are some additional features in
the G2 stuff that you can't get any other way.
