Author MSN Direct vs. GTM20 Traffic receivers

My free tial subscription is running low for my GTM20 and I'm
considering my options. I'm not too impressed with the timeliness of
reporting on the GTM20. For example, I'm sitting in traffic and the
unit reports "no traffic". Once the traffic started moving, then it
showed me that there was an accident (after it was cleared). Is the
MSN service more timely with respect to things like this? I understand
that all of this is relative to the area in which I'm receiving
service. I'm in South east Michigan.

Price and features alone is a no-brainer. But if the traffic reporting
is worse (slower) than the GTM20, that has to be considered.

Can anyone who has used both devices share your experience? Any info
at all will assist me in making the best decision.

You (we) don't have much of the choice, and they are pretty much similar
to each other in general.

- MSN Traffic only be able to report whatever the information been reported
by local traffic reporter. If it's new (contruction for example) then MSN
may report on GPS, but if it's an older information then it may not report.

- From where I live, MSN covers the area where I live when FM Traffric isn't
available. And it seems like MSN covers much wider than FM Traffic, and
much cheaper too.

MSN offer around $130-140 for lifetime service (or the life of the GPS)

- Most GPS only come with either MSN or FM Traffic, some allows you to use
FM Traffic by buying the receiver which costs around $150-200 (??? I don't
remember the price).

Is it worth to have MSN or FM Traffic? most often I don't see any benefit
or rarely get any contruction or accident report (except the weather <bg> ).
