How to check Micro SD Card ID on GPSMap 60CSx
|
|
|
| Is there a way to check my *SD* card's unit ID on the 60CSx? I am not
referring to the Unit ID of the GPS.
Thanks

Take out the microSD card, now get a magnifying glass and look all
over the card as you tilt it to get different light on it.
You should make out the number stamped on it.
Worked for me. : )

LOL. Those numbers can be anything from manufacturing codes, model
numbers, or serial numbers, but not the unit card ID. The only way
one can find the Unit ID is to connect it to a MicroSD adapter and
connect that to a mobile phone or other device that takes either SD
or MicroSD cards. From there, you would have to go into the device's
menu and retrieve it from there, if you can. Apparently, there is no
way in knowing the card's ID (not serial number) with Garmin units
like the Vista or Legend.
