X-No-Archive

Topo USA 2008 shows street names when I look at maps in Mapsource, but
does not display the names on the map screen of my Colorado 300. I
tried setting various levels of map detail and various zoom levels,
all to no avail.

Do other Garmin models behave the same way or is this a Colorado bug?

Must be a Colorado thing.

The "x" series models have a specific setting on the Map Setup - Points
and Map Setup - Text menus that will let you choose the zoom level where
the names appear and the size (small, medium large) of the street name
labels.

Beyond that, you can also use the Map Setup > Detail setting and the
Declutter toggle to control the overall complexity of the detail displayed.

That's a bummer. Anyone out there with a Colorado 400t? The one with
the built-in topo maps? If so, does it display street names on the
maps?

Does the City Navigator map display street names on the device?
Pretty useless if it doesn't.
