New European Map - clues?
|

| I can see on "My Garmin" that
Map Update 2008 City Navigator® Europe NT
Part Number: 010-11045-50
Suggested Retail Price: £ 59.99 excl. VAT
is now available for my Nuvi 360. It says it is only available through
dealers. The link to "Where to Buy" is not helpful - there is no list of
dealers. It also seems that the "old" way of Garmin posting out a CD and
then me paying for the unlock has gone away.
Anyone know how I can get this new map?

| Yes, I saw that - but how do you actually get hold of it?

Ditto.
Can't find the way in to get the UPDATE to 2008 Europe NT.
Any clues.
Cheers.

I'm waiting to see if TVNAV or some of the other vendors have it at a reduced
price like they did for CN NA NT.

Have you tried this page?
http://www8.garmin.com/unlock/update.jsp
Put in serial number of your unit, and if the update to NT is
available, a link to the order form will be shown below the box.
Hint to Garmin - the old way was very straightforward - another case
of Hutbers Law - "improvement means deterioration".

Costs about £60. Seems you get the unlock code in the box with the
DVD? Can't see any way to order it from Garmin direct like you used to
be able to do.

| Yes, I have tried that page and the link appears as expected.
Unfortunately, the link is not to an order form, but to the page that says
"click here to find a supplier" and then has none listed.

| Thanks for the pointer. However, I am pleased to report that the original
page has, this morning, gained a "buy now" button which seems to do the
trick!
