Nuvi - reset statistics screen fails to take?

| On both of the Nuvis I've used (350 and 680) resetting the statistics screen
(the one with miles traveled, average speed, drive time, etc.) seems flaky
on occasion. Resetting always re-zeroes the drive time and other data while
the unit is powered on but it sometimes reverts to the pre-reset values when
the unit is powered back up. I suspect that it might have something to do
with the Nuvi not realizing it has actually reached the destination, as
happens for me once in a while.
Has anybody else seen this?

Suggests that either the flash memory or internal battery are wearing out.
If the unit is still under warranty return it.
Simon.

It's long since out of warranty I think. IAC it hasn't any info and the
battery seems to last at least a couple of hours.
I'm wondering if it has something to do with not quite getting to the
destination when the screen is reset. Guess I'll start keeping a paper log.
