Nuvi 260 - loading photos - sizes ?

I noticed that my Garmin Nuvi 260
has it's default JPEG photo collection
at 320x177 -

What should I do with existing photos
before I copy them to the 260 ?

Should I resize them down
both to conserve memory space + make it easier for the Nuvi to display ?
