My Meridain Gold has a 32 meg SD card in it and for some reasoon doesnt
want to be formatted anymore? When I format it locks up the GPS with a
blank screen.
Every few times I change maps or data in general on the card I format it.
Now for some reason it wont format in the GPS or in a card reader on my
computer.

Is it dead or do you think I can save it some how?

Its an older card and I have a new one in the GPS now but for the sake of
knowing...............

Thanks

Hal

I had a SD card that did the same thing a couple of years ago and I send
it back to the maker (Lexar) and they replaced it. It had a 5 year
warranty if I remember right.

First, make sure the write lock tab hasn't gotten moved to 'lock'
position. This can happen during inserting, removing a card.
If it is dead, it is no great loss, with 2GB cards selling for under $40!
