| I was wondering if it is worth the $149 and if there were somewhere to
purchase it for less.
Thanks, Jay

I got it for around $100 on eBay or Amazon, can't remember which. That
was DR3 on the DVD. That has to be unlocked and activated with your GPS
receiver attached (or may you can enter the hardware serial number
manually?). After that, you can make maps for only that receiver.
The data fresh, my street finally showed up. As always, newer stuff
could be found to be missing. But I guess is was worth it.
I bought a Garmin 76Cx a few months later and have not used my Meridian
since. But I'm still keeping the Meridian for use on boats.

It is available from some other places (Amazon.com), at a bit of a
discount, but make SURE they don't ship the DR2 version which has an
older database.
Why companies think that for minor database updates one should pay the
full price for software is beyond my. Ain't gonna happen here!
