Magellan GPS - New to magellan

I have just got a Magellan 700 used and I entered a location for a
trip and it plotted the map but when driving it did not track my
location or update the route for turns and such,also did not change
my location from my driveway eventhough I was moving .How do I get it
to track with me?

Did you rotate the antenna on the back to the upright position? Your
windshield might have a metallic coating or insert which blocks the
frequency of the GPS satellites. Try the device outside of the car. If it
works there, you might need an external antenna. The same one for the
Meridian Color will work on the Roadmate.
