I've tried reporting the following three issues to Magellan's "tech.
support". Of course I reach a call center in India, and I'm pretty sure,
based on the responses, that the people I'm relying on for support have
NEVER had one in their hands.

Display intensity: We all know that you have to manually dim it for night
driving. The problem is that after you set it low, if the unit is power
cycled, the display returns to the level you set it to. The buttons return
to full brightness. If you go to the menu item for adjusting the intensity,
and adjust it either higher, or lower, the buttons instantly return to the
preset value.

Displayed speed: Depending on your speed, the unit will only display either
even or odd numbers. For example, between 60 and 70 mph, you will only ever
see 61, 63, 65, 67, and 69 mph.

Previous destinations: Once you have routed to a destination, you can NEVER
delete it.

Trip meter: Mileage is higher than what the vehicle really traveled. A
Garmin GPS in the same vehicle reads reasonable close to reality. The
Roadmate reads about 10% high.

Tech. support has given answers varying from: We will fix these items in the
next release, to sending the unit back for repair (I have tried multiple
units, so it is a software problem), to it's working the way it's supposed
to???? I would not buy another one of these.
