I have version 5.4. DirectRoute V3. And a 128 meg SD card. Can I
use a one gig card? Sure would be nice to have that much.

I've used SD cards of up to 2Gb on my Meridians with no problems at all.

You should be able to use a card up to 2GB without a problem. On the
other hand, what are you going to put into it that you need a card that big?
I plan to use a 128 meg card to store regional information for the trips
I make (flying). From what I have read, that should be adequate to
cover most 5 state regions, except in the far Northeast (which I have
pretty well covered in years past).

Traveling the whole US without having to hook to the computer and upload
more regions.

Yeah, I'd like to get the whole east coast. As is I can only get two
64 meg regions

Well, I usually come home for a while between excursions, so I don't
need the whole North American continent in the GPS at the same time. I
doubt, for instance, that I will visit Jackson Hole, Wy, any time soon,
so why do I need to know how to find Mickey D's there?

I am not sure how big the MapSend database for NA is, but MS Streets and
Trips has a database that is under 1GB, and it does a pretty good job of
detailed mapping, and millions of points of interest (although they are
often misplaced), just DON'T use it to find a hospital!
