Not that I've ever heard of.
There are some processes that will allow you to make and calibrate your
own maps. That is moderately complex and pretty technical, and will or
can require some not too inexpensive softwares.
The Magallen MapSend Topo 3D USA package is pretty good, it has better
resolution and topo detail than most of the comparable national coverage
softwares (about 1:40,000). More details here:

You can find that way under the MSRP on the Internet and on eBay. If
you buy a used copy, it will not be locked to someone else's GPS
receiver or unusable because it was previously unlocked. For that
version of Topo, Magellan uses copy protected CD's and limits the use to
a single GPS receiver (as a matter of policy, not by hardware serial
number or anything).
So if you have the CD in hand, you can install and run it. There is
also a workaround so that you won't have to leave the CD in the drive to
run the program.
At least one of the newer MapSend products (DirecetRoute NA 3.00) has a
bulletproof online unlocking and registration system that limits its use
to a single GPS receiver by the serial number in the receiver.

As a follow up to my last, make sure your GPS is compatible with that
topo package, I've used it with Meridians but am not familiar with the
compatibility on SporTraks or any other models.
