| I'm new to the whole GPS thing but I bought a Magellan Explorist XL. I
wanted a good GPS that I could take Quad riding, Boating, hiking, and
also in the car. It seemed like this would be a good unit for these
proposes. But when I go to Magellan's web site and try to purchase
"MapSend Lakes USA" Arizona is missing. Why is this? Also is Garmin a
better choice?

Garmin has a number of products for lakes in the U.S., but not every
lake in the U.S. is on them. You can look at the Garmin products here:
http://www.garmin.com/cartography/ontheWater/
- Inland Lakes
- LakeMaster
- Recreational Lakes with Fishing Hot Spots
When you look at the various products there is also a MapSource Map
Viewer that will let you view the maps. Needless to say the amount of
detail can vary a lot from one lake to another.
