Magellan GPS - updated RM 360

I have conflicting information as to how to update the roads/map on my
Roadmate 360.

I've been told that you have to purchase a new SD card *and* I've been
told that you update it via the USB cable and the Mapsend software *and*
I've been told that you download an .exe file for the update.

So - which is it?

There is NO INFORMATION in the RM 360 manual that addresses how the maps
are updated.

And, even when you go to the Magellan website - there is no information
that specifically addresses the updating of the Roadmate 360.

Amazing.
