Hey guys...I picked up a 500LE and before I picked up an SD card for it I
loaded my topo Canada on the internal memory...I've since picked up an SD
card and I need to get the maps off the internal memory to free up space...I
have the maps on the SD card now but need to delete off the internal memory
and I can't figure out how....
Can anyone help??

TIA

Jeff

The easiest way I find is to plug the unit in to your PC and have
it showing USB file transfer mode on the screen.

Go to the MY COMPUTER icon on your desktop. Double click on that.

You'll see an icon for your eXplorist. (Mine says Removable Disk E:)
Double click on that. That will present you with a collection of
folders.

Find the 'Detail Maps folder'. Double click on that.

Now you'll see the maps you saved. Just left click on them and choose
delete. They will be imi files. (eg. mymap.imi) You can empty
that folder, but don't delete it.

That's it :)

PS. You can also manage files from the MapSend Manager software
that came with your unit.

When you start it up, you'll see a row of options in a column on the
left. The second one is 'Manage GPS files'. Click on that. The rest
should be obvious.

Good Luck
