i'm trying to update my na maps on my roadmate 700. i saw the following and
entered the coupon but it won't take it. i've already registered my unit
and had previously purchased a prior upgrade.
--------------------------------------
Save $20.00

Now through December 31, 2007

Write down your Coupon Code and enter it on the order Summary page when you
purchase this map update to save an instant $20.00

Coupon Code: 45975-56203-46674-06773
---------------------------------------
the update costs $79 + $6 shipping. i want the $20 off before i buy it,
anyone else have a problem entering this code?
any suggestions?
has anyone updated their maps? results??
recently i was directed to make a turn the wrong way into oneway street (a
major road). it kept trying to reroute me there. another time i was
prompted to make a left turn on an overpass. i don't think there ever was a
road there as the overpass was over a swamp. i'm hoping the map update
fixes some of this stuff.
if anyone has any info on the update, or/and/ how i'm supposed to enter the
coupon, please let me know. thanks
my email is me at gmail.

You have to fill in the boxes individually. That is why they told you to
write down the code. I also found that you have to add two zeros in front
of the one in the quantity box or it becomes zero on the next screen

thanks Earl F. Parrish. of course you have to fill in the blanks
individually; you can clearly see that trying a paste doesn't work and
leading zeros weren't necessary - no problem with the quanity.

the screen says:
"There was an error validating the coupon that you entered. Please try
again."

i have entered the numbers many times, each with the same result. i'm
wondering if anyone else has encountered this.

i was able to get in touch with a magellan rep (sounds like from india) - he
said that the web site was undergoing maintenance, which is why the coupon
could not be entered, and that the coupon would be extended to through the
first week in jan. formerly it exp on 12/31.
i hope the map update reflects all the changes in roads these past few
years. i wonder how often these maps are updated; considering all the
construction, in my northeast area, it should be once every year.

The recent 700-760 update is based on maps as of 3rd quarter 2006.
Now if I could just get mine to power up all would be well.
