2000 Roadmate won't tell me the street to turn on

The map will display, but the voice for the directions will not
speak, and the street name that I'm to turn on will not display ..

I've checked the volume, the reset the GPS and I still can't get
it to tell me where or when to turn ...

IT just happened today .. I don't understand the problem, I've
only had the GPS for less than a month ....

It was fine yesterday --
