| I never had a GPS unit before and I am getting obsessed with it. It's
a Magellan 700. The status screen has a column called "SNR." Is that
"Signal to Noise Ratio"? There are bunches of other columns. I go to
this screen when I'm waiting for the unit to locate itself. If
someone could give me a rundown on what I'm looking at I would
appreciate it.

See "Appendix B - GPS Status Screen" of
http://www.magellangps.com/assets/m...MRM_760_en.pdf.
This'll get you started, but it'll probably raise far more questions than it
answers.
