I bought a Roadmate 2000 last month to replace my laptop and Delorme
street atlas. I am very impressed with this GPS for driving, it does
what its supposed to do very well. Im wondering if anybody else has
bought one? I have a couple of questions:
Does anyone know of a forum for this unit?
When using it I notice a little maroon dot that appears on the street I
am traveling from time to time, does anyone know what this is? It
appears like a marker of some type.

thank you

I just purchased my 2000 instead of the overpriced Cobra of the Garmin
2720. I am an OTR truck driver so I am hopping that this will pay for
itself

I called tech support and got India (surprise) Anyway she told me that
the enhanced PIO is for the future and the little maroon dots are to
tell you your on that road, which didn't make any sense, I have since
come to believe they mark the center of cities and towns and community's
or possibly county lines.

thanks
