As a closing down Orange Upgrade Dealer, where would be the best place to
sell our telesales database?

This is somewhere around 3,500 customers, so alot of business for someone.
Any suggestions?

assuming you have permission from the companies/individuals on the database,
I'm sure one of the advertisers on this page would be interested:

Assuming that you have permission from *all* the people on the list also.
I know I'm not on it because I know where I bought my phones, but if I
found out that my details had been sold like a pound of tomatoes I would
be very annoyed indeed..!

Also, if you are a genuine dealer, why are you posting from a fake email
address..?

Because I found this newsgroup on a HTTP cache, so if Google can see it, so
can email spiders.

Also I do NOT want to sell this to some random spam company; when I posted I
meant other Orange Upgrade that work via telesales (EG. Docklands, Garstang,
etc)

Selling client databases is quite a regular business practice.

But somewhat unethical without permission from those involved, surely..?
How about if your doctor sold your details to drug companies..?

No.
Why do you think that?
Remind me when did you provide anyone with your permission to store details
about you?
As long as the database is registered with the relevant body, and is used
according to the registration (and that may include sale of the collected
data), there is very little you can do about it. Read the relevant Act.
