Received letter today "we regularly review our price plans" blah blah
blah

International call option now at no extra charge.
Charge per minute for calls to other UK networks outside of your
allowance will now change from 20p min to 35p min and minimum charge
from 2p to 5p.
Voicemail retrieval will now be included as part of your monthly
inclusive minutes, and is no longer free.
SMS now change from 10p to 12p.

States at bottom, "these changes represent an increase in our charges
above the retail price index figure."

Can i cancel my contract in due of the above? and will i be able to get
my PAC code to take my telno with me? Would they charge me for the
outstanding months due on my contract? Many thanks for the info.

I am wondering if this is the first of there contract changes as i have
about 5 other contracts running with them.

Read your T&C. I heard T-Mobile are going to start charging for =
voicemail in December, but I thought it was only for PAYG customers. I =
bet Virgin is going to upset. What a bunch of idiots they are, with any =
luck T-Mobile will go bankrupt soon.

I dont even no where to find my terms and conditions, but dont they
update those every few months or so? Is it my original one that stands?
Or can i just state to t-mobile that "under the terms of my contract i
am able to cancel if you increase the prices above the retail price
index"..

as it states they have increased above the RPI i believe you can cancel
without having to pay any further line rental after your 30 days notice.
I don't know about getting the PAC code though

after looking at the t-mobile t&c this is still the case:

http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/pdf/files...vUpg_210205.pdf
section 2 (c) (iii) (B):

> A cancellation charge is
> not payable if you are cancelling because:

> (B) we want to increase a charge to you and the increase, (when

Also term 7 (a):

You may be able to, though it depends on whether your tariff is
affected.

dani2xll, I think you will find that these increases only apply to a
certain price plan or range of plans e.g. the old anytime range, where
they increased the cost for x net calls not long ago, so beware their
even sniffing around and making price increases to older tariffs! like
they did with personal call.

What tariff were you on?

The sign of a company in financial difficulty trying to rake in as much
income as possible. They don't see that increasing prices drives customers
way, so their overall income will decrease. Not long to go now!

I was on the everyone45 mins.

Dan

I spoke to T-Mobile in regards to the price increases, and had an
interesting chat with a guy in small business, from what a gather it's
costing them more to maintain the older/ringfenced price plans, hence
they've had to pass the cost on to there customers.

So the older the tariff is, and the fewer that are on it, the more it's
costing T-Mobile to maintain, you may think there just trying to get
people off these plans, I don't think this is solely the case, they
would only think about doing this, if they had a few hundred people
left connected to an old price plan, as wouldn't be viable to continue.

Just to clarify the price plans which are affected with this price
increase are:

Everyone 45 / 150 / 300
Everyone off-peak and text
Personal call
Bronze / Silver / Gold
T-Mobile staff plan called, discounted employee call

The last price increase was to Anytime 200/400/Max plans, where calls
to x net changed from 20p/min to 25p/min afair.

Feeling sorry for those out there still on personal call, as they only
know to well about this, and to have it happening again! As one of the
oldest plans known then as Mercury one2one, it's had so many increases
I've lost count.
