Hello

I recently bought a phone from onetopphoneshop and I'm having a few problems
with them.

Firstly I bought the phone online through a cashback site but a week later
the phone had not arrived. I could log onto their site and see the order
details without a problem. I phoned them up and was told that they were
having problems processing internet orders. They asked if it was OK to
cancel the internet order and re-do the order. I said as long as it's
exactly the same deal it would be OK. I ca't understand why they would do
this, if I could see the details of the order online, why couldn't they
process it? The only reason I could think of was to get out of paying the
cachback site I ordered from, but that's a bit paranoid isn't it? Cashback
still hasn't turned up tho.

Anyway, the deal included an automatic £100 odd auto cashback to my card
after x time. The cashback is already late by about 3-4 weeks and I'm not
sure what to do. I spoke to them over the phone and they said they have been
having yet more computer problems and had been for a few months. This meant
that all cashback payments were 2 months behind.

I'm just wondering if I will ever get my money, if anyone else is having or
has had similar problems and what the outcome was. What concerns me is that
when they said I would get an autocheque back after x time, they knowingly
entered into a contract they knew they would not be able to honour (they
knew they were 2 months behind on autocheque backs - unless they are just
feeding me any old excuse when I call).

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Haymish

I've never heard of OSPS doing auto cashback to your card. You normally
get a voucher(s) which you must send in at certain times with the
relevant bills.
